Interpreting wildflowers
Inspired by Alberta’s wildflowers and their resiliency, Kearl explores the similarities of wildflowers to human resiliency. Always a reminder of what we as humans are capable of.
Working in an abstract, expressive style, Kearl begins with observation but soon surrenders to intuition, allowing the painting to evolve beyond reality.
Through this process, she seeks to capture not just the form of the flower, but it’s spirit-inviting the viewer into a space of feeling and imagination.
